LOCHS, RIVERS AND THE SEA

About the Show

The gallery presents an exhibition of artwork inspired by the water environment. Water provides obvious inspiration to artists, whether it’s mountainous streams, rivers and lochs or the coast it’s a regular source of subject matter and is evident with this current selection of works.

The Artists
We've brought together a range of artists who all share an inspiration in using water as their subject matter. The artwork ranges from landscapes featuring the rivers Tay and Forth and seascapes of the west coast to bronze sculpture works responding to the homeward movement of Altantic Salmon and human intervention.
Artists on display are Penelope Anstice, Louise Balaam, Rosemary Bassett, Fanny Lam Christie, Margaret Evans, Stewart Lammie, Iona Leishman, Claudia Massie, Alan Perera-Liyanage and Arie Vardi.
